Together they represent the first Cadet class, nearly 40 years of advisory service, clinical leadership at the highest levels, and a multi-generational legacy of community service.
A former Nashoba Cadet EMT (1990–1994), Mike brings a lifetime of safety and leadership to the board. Following his time as a Cadet and an EMT with the Bolton Volunteer Ambulance Squad, he served as a Helicopter Pilot and Safety Officer with the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing. He currently serves as Senior Vice President at Stagedge. All three of his children went through the Cadet EMT program, making his commitment to its future deeply personal.
Ken has been a cornerstone of the Cadet EMT program since its very inception in 1987, nearly 40 years of steady fiscal and advisory oversight. A former long-time member of the Bolton Select Board, his institutional knowledge and civic leadership have helped ensure the program remains a permanent fixture of the community through every budget cycle and leadership change.
Ann's influence on the Cadet EMT program spans decades. As a Registered Nurse with a focus on school health and staff education, she served as the NRHS Cadet EMT Program Coordinator for 14 years (2001–2015). Her dual experience as an RN and a former EMT with the Bolton Volunteer Ambulance Squad gives her a uniquely complete perspective on student development and clinical excellence.
With nearly 20 years of experience in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Cohen provides the vital clinical bridge between Cadet training and professional medical standards. Having served as a Paramedic and Medical Director for both military and civilian EMS programs, he ensures the program's curriculum reflects the evolving demands of modern emergency services. His daughters are current participants in the program.
Dr. Hernon holds a singular distinction on this board: she was a member of the very first Cadet EMT class in 1987. She turned that early training into a lifelong career, becoming a practicing physician in Emergency Medicine. Her journey, from the first high school Cadet to respond to an emergency call, to a board-certified physician, is the living proof of what this program makes possible.
Willow is the architect behind the legal and structural foundation of this organization. A Boston University and Harvard Graduate School of Education alumna, she spent two decades as a tech industry executive before transitioning into 30 years as a professional independent director, including 26 years on the board of TJX Companies, Inc. She currently serves on the board of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and is deeply rooted in Massachusetts community service.
